Family Portraits at Home

Although most of our portraits are shot in our portrait studio, it is always a pleasure to do shots of a family in their family environment. The photo shoots of Hello magazine and OK magazine are filled with celebrities photographed in their home environment.

Since lockdown has lifted, we have had more and more requests for home portrait sessions where the children get to play in their home surroundings. We are based in Dunmurry near Belfast but travel far and wide normally and it seems the Home Portraits are the same as travel the country.

Puppies and playhouses - what children’s dreams are made of

Taking the time to capture these important years is so precious. Time flies by and next you know it they are off to university. As a woman in her 40’s all I hear from friends is that the children grew up too fast. That they mean’t to get family portraits and kept putting it off and now they can’t get it back. These are the great days. Make sure to take time out to get the story captured.

I have photographed little Mary since she was a baby bump in her mum. This shoot was taken at home on the morning of her first day of school. Storytelling the family life is the most precious privilege and one that I will never tire of. With a smile that lights up the room, I am sure little Mary’s story will be filled with laughter.
