The arrival of a newborn baby is one of the most special times in your life that you will never forget. This is why professional photographs of your little one are an investment that last a lifetime. Between 7-10 days old is the perfect time for this shoot. We get the opportunity to capture them at their smallest whilst they are still sleepy and happy for us to pose them - We aim to capture the fragility, newness and beauty of your little one.
We offer a wide range of bespoke props, wraps, blankets & accessories for you to choose from which are all washed after each shoot. You are more than welcome to bring along your own special props for us to work with to make it more personal to your baby.
You can choose to focus solely on your newborn or if you would like Mum & Dad can also be included in these once in a life time shots.
Although we love doing newborn portraits and capturing the newness of your little one we do encourage you to only come for these sessions if Mummy & Baby are feeling and doing good. We know that child birth can be traumatic and isn’t smooth sailing for most - within the first few weeks mothers are trying to heal and get on their feet and babies are trying to adjust. Some women will push themselves to get themselves out within the first week/ ten days of having their baby to get these precious shots when this isn’t always the best thing for them and will result in a not so pleasant experience. We encourage all mothers to come get shots of their baby when they are back on their feet, babies content and in a good routine for a more pleasant experience. We may not be able to capture them swaddled or scrunched up but we can also capture some beautiful images of them lying on Daddy’s and Mummy’s arm or chest etc.
We also offer sessions called ‘My First Year’ which captures your baby within the first 3 months of being born, at 6-8 months when they are sitting up or starting to crawl and 12 months old for their first birthday when some babies may be walking. These sessions are so special as it captures three different stages of the first year of their life where they have grown, starting to form their own character and also reached different milestones.
