5 WEDDING DRESSES
5 WEDDING DRESSES ON YOUR WEDDING DAY TO REPRESENT THE MULTI CULTURAL TRADITIONS
Wedding Celebrations at Tullyglass House Hotel
Usman owned a pizza shop in Melbourne next door to the salon that Nadia worked, facing Melbourne Beach. It took Usman six months to convince Nadia to go on a date with him and their relationship blossomed from there . Nadia just thought he was the most kind, generous man ever and loved this about him.
Nadia is half Irish Algerian and Usman is Pakistani - they share the same religion but completely different cultures. At first, both their families didn't agree as there was so much differences between cultures and they were worlds apart. However, Usman never gave up - when Nadia finally fell head over heels for him it was time for her to go home to Belfast to open up her salon. Whilst apart for four years they stayed in contact every minute of everyday. They wanted to get married but before they could continue a relationship with each other they would have to get their parents approval.
In the meantime they tried to meet in Dubai however things didn’t go as planned - Usman’s visa was rejected and they were both absolutely devastated. Nadia had to stay there for four months while they appealed again and again with no hope. In the end they decided to do an Islamic blessing via zoom call as during covid it was so hard to travel. This meant they could finally see each other, be clear in the eyes of God and get their parents to agree to the marriage.
On the 17th of April Nadia flew home after several months in Dubai. After four years and what felt like the longest time, on 17th August 2021, Usman flew to Belfast to meet with Nadia and her family. Within their families blessing of the marriage, they had the most romantic engagement at the Eiffel Tower. They celebrated their special day with their nearest and dearest on the 17th of October in the Tullyglass Hotel and had the most magical day.
We met up with the girls at Nadia’s Mum and Dad’s house that morning to capture the girls getting ready for the big day ahead. I started off by capturing Nadia’s accessories - her super detailed dress for walking down the aisle, her beautiful red flowers to match her lipstick and her extremely high and bling Jimmy Choo’s which were the perfect choice for the biggest dress I have ever photographed. .
The house that morning had the most fantastic atmosphere as the girls got pampered. We had the most talented set of hands that morning to style the girls hair and makeup. Hair stylist Ryan James Ebbitt Wedding Hair Specialist styled Nadia’s that morning into the most beautiful up style and added a detailed diamond headpiece for extra glamour. Makeup Artist Andrea McGarragher owner of Cali & Co created a super flawless look with beautiful wispy lashes and bright red lipstick.
The bridal party also had an excellent set of girls styling their hair and makeup for the day ahead. Hair Stylists Hairaholic by Elisha & Carolann Flynn styled the girls hair to perfection whilst Makeup Artist Danielle Chambers enhanced the girls natural beauty.
Once hair and makeup was done, all the girls were feeling, looking a million dollars and ready to get into their dresses.
Moment’s like this are my favourite. Nadia and her Mum are both hairdressers so this shot is so special as Nadia fixes her mums hair.
It was finally time for the girls to get ready and into their dresses. Nadia is super photogenic and knew exactly how to work the camera so we snapped her at any opportunity we could.
Just dressed and stunning. This part of the day would give you goose bumps - As Nadia got dressed, the drummers flown over from Paris Yasin Kahrıman started the drum roll and the women did a really primal call. As she got into the dress, the sound was swirling around the house and was so so emotional.
Nadia’s Dad and brother’s also arrived to join in the celebrations and escort her to The Tullyglass Hotel. I have never seen a bridal house so packed and buzzing that morning - the atmosphere was like no other. Everybody was in absolute awe and so proud of Nadia - they couldn’t wait to celebrate her big day with her.
After a few family snaps together, Dad escorted Nadia out to her Rolls Royce whilst the sound of the band was still flowing.
Usman and his groomsmen got ready from The Malone Hotel that morning. Katrina Taggart was the second shooter that morning. When she arrived the boys were in top form, having good craic between them all and getting ready.
Natasha Mcormick created lovely personalised glasses, hangers and bags for the boys that morning.
As the men got ready that morning they all gave each other a helping hand fixing their bow ties and floral accessories.
Once Usman and his groomsmen were ready looking handsome and smelling good, we took them outside to get some walking and group shoots. This also give them the chance to mingle after a busy morning getting ready.
Usman and the groomsmen were finally all ready to make their way to The Tullyglass Hotel.
Nadia and her Dad arrived in style by a Rolls Royce Phantom from Spectrum Executive Cars.
Nadia’s Dad was a true gentleman and a great helping getting her into and out of the cars whilst holding the dress up so that it didn't get dirty or ruined before walking down the aisle.
All the wedding celebrations took place at The Tullyglass Hotel including the ceremony. As Nadia got out of the car and walked into the venue the beautiful sounds of the band were back playing and the atmosphere was starting to build for the ceremony.
It was finally time for the moment everyone has been waiting for. Nadia’s Dad was so proud to be walking her down the aisle.
As soon as Nadia began to walk down the aisle Usman’s face light up instantly. They exchange a look of love between each other - they are genuinely so in love and were super excited to get married.
The ceremony was so special - the pair exchanged many smiles and laughs between one another.
Once the ceremony was over, our newly weds headed outside to release some white doves from a basket provided by Angel Doves. Releasing doves at your wedding is romantic and symbolic gesture that represents peace and harmony.
We then captured a few special moments between Nadia & Usman as newly weds before capturing the family shoots.
Everything about Nadia and Usman’s wedding was so royal and grand - they paid special attention to even the littlest details. Whilst making their entrance into the room to their guests they had sparkler fountains lighting up the room provided Photo Mirrors NI - it looked like a fairytale wedding.
Family and close friends spoke the most heart warming words and wished our bride and groom the best wishes. There was the a mixture of crying, laughter and happiness throughout the speeches.
After the speeches it was time for dress change number two which was my absolute favourite. When she put on her traditional white dress with her Jimmy Choo shoes, I did not think it could get any better than that until she put on the red sparkly dress. Well then it felt like a disney princess had come to life. Any of you who know me will know how excited I got when I saw her in the red sparkly dress. It was a most stunning red lace princess dress embellished in sparkles flown over all the way from Paris. Nadia also changed her head piece, jewellery and bouquet.
Wedding Cakes NI created this magnificat and regal eight tier - This is truly the largest wedding cake we have seen. The detail and presentation of this cake was absolutely amazing.
The fountain sparklers created the fairytale magic at the first dance.
We couldn’t visit The The Tullyglass Hotel without capturing our bride and groom outside beside the light up water fountain outside.
It was time for dress & hairstyle change. This time Nadia opted for a royal blue dress which was super detailed with embellishments. Ryan James Ebbitt Wedding Hair Specialist also changed Nadia’s hair into curly high up style with plenty of volume. Nadia also changed her headpiece, jewellery and styled it with a gold sparkly clutch bag.
Usman also changed his blazer to match Nadia’s dress - They looked like a celebrity couple.
It was time for the fourth and final dress change. This time it was a white and gold dress traditional morrocan dress. Nadia changed her head piece, jewellery, accessories and also added a gold lace detailed veil to her look. Usman also changed into a white outfit to match with Nadia.
We finished the night off by taking Nadia & Usman outside for some final shots.
The biggest congratulations to this super beautiful couple. Wishing you & your family all the best wishes, happiness & success in the world. Thank you for letting us capture your special day - it was an absolute pleasure to be part of.
