FOUR SEASONS CARLINGFORD WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS

Elaine & Kevin have known each other just over 20 years when they began 1st year in school together. It took Kevin to 5th year to finally ask Elaine out now they are very much head over heels. Kevin proposed to Elaine on Christmas Day 2020 - Their first Christmas as a family of 3. Kevin got down on one knee with their daughter Mollie on his other knee and asked Elaine to marry him - It was really special for them all!

On the morning of the wedding we met up with the bridal party & Elaine’s family at Pandora’s Cottage, Tranquility Houses, Carlingford. This stunning five bedroom house is a hidden gem on the north side of the Cooley mountains, overlooking Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains - It was absolutely incredible space and held up to 26 guests. Elaine wanted her full family to be with her the night before the wedding. As she has a large family, she decided to rent this amazing cottage so they could all gather and start celebrating the day before.

The super talented duo Hair Stylist Mary Maguire & Makeup Artist Fiona Murphy worked together. Fiona Murphy created a soft glam look which made our bride look radiant and glow. Mary Maguire created a voluminous curly braid with soft curls around the brides face. Mary then added a beautiful diamond & pearl headpiece from Hats Off Ally to finish off her look.

We captured some sweets moments between Elaine & her daughter Mollie on the morning on the wedding - they have such a great bond & will be best friends for life. Check out Mollie’s dress with matching accessories for the big day.

Once Mollie was all ready for the big day ahead, Elaine with the help of her bridesmaid slipped into her wedding dress from MK Bridal. Elaine choose a deep plunge, v neck dress with amazing lace detail and embellishment - she looked super elegant.

Ceibhionn from Inscape Flowers created a beautiful mix of light coloured roses with hints of gypsophila which complimented Elaine’s who look perfectly.

Once Elaine & the bridal party were all ready they could relax and enjoy time with her family before it was time to leave to met up with her husband to be.

We then met up with our groom Kevin and his groomsmen. As always the atmosphere with the boys was great fun and we had plenty of laughs - they were super excited for the day ahead.

Kevin’s Mum & Dad were super proud parents. How fabulous does Kevin’s Mum look? We loved her royal blue dress with accessories to match.

The men wore regal three piece tweed suits with a black and white spotted ties from O’Cathalain Menswear. They accessorised with black patent shoes & white handkerchiefs - they looked the part.

The boys arrived at the Church of St Michael’s, Carlingford well ahead of time to wait on the arrival of the beautiful Elaine & the bridal party. Whilst waiting, they got the opportunity to mingle with their guests.

Elaine arrived at the church & it was finally time to marry the love of her life.

Elaine & Kevin were so happy to see each other. Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful and they were ecstatic to be married. Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Mooney!

We then made our way to Old Abbey Ruins to capture some special moments between our bride and groom. Old Abbey Ruins was established some time in the 14th century and has the most fantastic backdrops for photographs.

Kevin & Elaine were very comfortable and relaxed during the photographs with each other and this showed throughout all of their photographs on the day.

Whilst at Old Abbey Ruins we also got a chance to get some more informal shots with our bridal party. These are always great fun & give people a chance to strike their best pose.

We then made our way round to Carlingford Pier but it was a bitterly cold day so we spent a quick five minutes getting a few more shots of our bride and groom before making our way to the wedding reception.

We then headed to the Four Seasons Hotel, Carlingford were our couple held their wedding celebrations. This hotel provides an idylic wedding venue With Carlingford Lough, Cooley Mountains, Old Abbey Ruins, Kind John’s Castle and quaint cobbled streets. We got to use a few of the spots but with the cold, we then used the stylish backdrop and amazing Christmas tree at the hotel for some family and friend shots.

Elaine & Kevin’s family and friends were super happy for them & couldn’t wait to celebrate their marriage with them. As the drinks reception commenced, One for the road entertained the guests with some great music for everyone to sing along to get the celebrations going.

Glitz did an amazing job at decorating the room exactly how Kevin & Elaine had envisioned it - they paid special attention to detail.

Cathy Coleman created this beautiful three tiered white and bronze cake which matched in perfectly with their theme and decorations.

As the celebrations continued and dinner was finished The Mad Ass Mules got the party going & everyone on their feet for a dance.
